DEAR PLSs , Monday, April 5, 2010

1. He has purchased a PC, but however the receipt is address to his father. The approval letter indicates that the receipt should be addressed to the bearer of the approval letter. Can he still proceed with the claim using the receipt with his father's name?
Yes, he still can claim.  Just ask him to sign on the receipt stating that the PC is purchased for his own use.  Write his name on the receipt and sign.  Submit the original receipt together with the letter of approval for reimbursement.

2. It is stated that the original receipt/invoice needs to be provided. However, for warranty purpose, the original receipt has to be kept.  Is a copy of the receipt acceptable?
Please ask student to give me a letter to state that the original receipt must be kept for warranty purposes.  This letter to be jointly signed by his father (who purchased the PC) and the student.  The submit the photocopy of receipt for claims.
